( AMATTI ) MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA PROFESSIONAL SAXOPHONE
NEWER PADS NEEDS ADJUSTING TO PLAY WELL. ORIGINAL LACQUER
SAXPICS HAS A KEILWERTH EXAMPLE OF KOHLERT ALTO WHICH IS
THE SAME AS THIS SAX EXCEPT KEY WORK IS NICKEL ( LESSER QUALITY THAN THIS ONE ). LOOK AT THE
EXAMLPE OVER THERE. SERIAL NUMBER IS ALMOST SAME AS THIS ONE.

>Amati 1945 to 1947
Amati "nationalized" the Keilwerth and Kohlert plants immediately after WWII. Amati, however, generally used the Keilwerth design for their "new" horns. The Kohlert versions are somewhat redesigned VKS horns (most notable thing that's different is the keyguards) and seem to have old VKS serial numbers.
I think that you can forward the argument -- especially because of the late serial numbers on some Amati horns (which go into the Series III serials) -- that the Amati Toneking was made with Keilwerth equipment for the most part, with some minor tooling changes for the neck.<
1 WHAT I SEE IS THEY ARE EXACT EXCEPT THE NECK OF THE ONE I HAVE FOR SALE
DOES NOT HAVE THE MICROTUNER ON NECK. SEE PIC I TOOK OF WHAT I PRINTED OUT
AND PUT NOTES ON.
2 THEY ARE THE SAME IN REGARDS TO
ROLLED TONE HOLES , ALTISSMO F# , HAS G# TRILL KEY , FOLLOWS KEILWERTH
SERIAL NUMBERS.
3 THIS ONE HAS NEWER AND MIX PADS ( I DON'T THINK THEY ARE ORIGINAL PADS BUT I AM NOT  TECH SEE PAD PICS ) BUT THE PERSON WHO PUT THEM ON IF THEY ARE NEWER DID NOT DO A GOOD JOB.  MAYBE A FEW NEED REPLACING OR THEY ALL JUST NEED TO BE RESEATED AND CHECKED FOR LEAKS. I PLAYED IT AND THE LOWER REGISTER IS NOT PLAYING WELL. THE PADS COULD ALSO USE A BIT OF CLEANING THEY LOOK A BIT DIRTY.
SO IF YOU BUY THIS PLAN ON TAKING IT TO YOUR TECH AND HAVING SOME ADJUSTMENTS MADE. THERE IS AT LEAST ONE PAD I SEE THAT WAS REPLACED.
4 THE ORIGINAL LAC IS VERY NICE.  ENGRAVING NICE DETAILS.
5 VERY CLEAN IS THE JGK " BEST IN THE WORLD LOGO "
6 THIS COMES WITH NO CASE AND NO MOUTHPIECE BUT WILL BE PROFEESIONALLY
PACKED AND INSURED
7 Eb GUARD WAS BUMPED AND BENT WILL NEED REPAIR AND C GUARD IS MISSING A SCREW.

9 STRAP HOOK HAS VIRTUALLY NO WEAR SUGGESTING THIS SAX WAS NOT PLAYED MUCH AT ALL
