I bought this for my father, and it was way too big.  He is under 5 ft 6 now and it swallowed him.  Tag says S/M, but I also ordered another bathrobe (Christian Dior) that was one size, and this one is much larger - wider and longer with longer sleeves.  I would say it's a M/L.  Definitely not a small.  My father tried it on once but never wore it.  I had already cut tags so could not return it.
